Anxiety and depression go abreast. They are possibly two faces of the same coin. Anxiety provides depression and due to depression, anxiety is experienced. It ultimately turns to be an accumulation of various problems. [1] Anxiety can wear the mask of depression. Moreover anxiety and depression give birth to a colossal number of troubles such as problem in falling asleep, meager appetite, uneasiness and various other symptoms of the like. The patient keeps on worrying about the same issue and can’t concentrate on anything else. He is always afraid that some calamity may occur to him due to his anxiety and depression.

Anxiety and depression are such closely interlinked that they can’t be separated out easily. Comorbidity i.e., the mingling of anxiety and depression is more chronic, which leads to even suicide. Not only the physical but also the psychological nature of the two is immensely similar. Even the experts find it complex to distinguish anxiety and depression. And many time the medications that are meant for depression, cures anxiety as well.
The patient of depression closes all the doors of hope, whereas in anxiety he tries to foresight the future problems and worry for them in present. Anxiety can happen from various sources, which causes depression. Anxiety and depression are certainly not two separate disorders, but they are two vivid sides of the same disorder. [1]
